2016 was an excellent year for GTAN! Our monthly investment meetings showcased pitches from over 25 local companies, many moved forward into due diligence.

Golden Triangle Angel Network (GTAN), hosted its October 2016 investment meeting at Bingemans, this time with a haunted twist. The evening was called GTAN Transfuzion, and beyond the regular investment meeting, also featured investor speed dating, Founder and Funder educational sessions, an exclusive movie premiere, and a private tour of Bingemans Scream Park. Last week, Waterloo’s Accelerator Centre (AC) celebrated its 50th and 51st graduates—Alaunus and TrafficSoda. This milestone graduation coincided with the AC’s 10th anniversary, capping off a decade of the Centre supporting some of the country’s most innovative and successful technology companies. Read more.
The Waterloo Region is home to some of the finest academic institutions and centres of learning available in the world today. From the University of Waterloo to Conestoga College, these post-secondary schools make a concerted effort to provide students with high-quality education, while also offering unique opportunities for them to develop professional skills.
