May Investor Meeting Recap

It was a full house at GTAN’s May Investor Meeting. GTAN welcomed its members and several guests; including students from the University of Waterloo and University of Wilfrid Laurier’s Startup Fund. Attendees had the pleasure of hearing pitches from three innovative companies including 20/20 Armor, and current GTAN Investee companies Powernoodle and ExpertFile.

Ali Ghafour is CEO of 2020 Armor, the makers of an electronic scoring vest for martial arts. The vest removes the guessing game from scoring so that participants can better track their progress.

Deb Krizmanich presented her company, Powernoodle. This cloud-based decision intelligence platform helps organizations make better quality decisions. Did you know that 60% of executives feel they make as many bad decisions as good ones? Powernoodle is changing this by bringing the right people into the decision-making process, minimizing barriers and embedding structure.

Peter Evans was last to pitch at our May Investor Meeting, sharing his SaaS software platform ExpertFile. ExpertFile helps IT departments organize their people-based content into search optimized profiles and online directories; offering an affordable and creative solution that boosts their customers’ visibility.

Save the dates! Our next investment meeting will be held at Bingemans on Tuesday, June 19. We will also be hosting our annual AGM and Pauli Awards that evening. Interested in becoming a GTAN Angel? We’re always looking for new members. Contact us to learn more!
